Happy Thursday everyone! Spring has made a timid appearance here, so if you’re like me celebration is in order! Since the days are still short the best way is to take a lovely stroll to the nearest park, but if RL prevented you from doing that a great way to celebrate is to get your blood flowing by dancing to today’s amazing live shows at the Dirty Grind Independent Artist Community (and a couple of field trips)!
4 pm Beth Odets
Beth Odets is a classically trained concert violinist who threw it all away to become the greatest itinerant fiddlist in Second Life. Her Solo Performances in SL feature both Violin/Fiddle AND Guitar/Vocals. She plays/sings Originals and Covers – an eclectic mix that ranges from Blues to Bluegrass and from Mozart to Metallica.
5 pm The Matthew Show
Whether it’s a song about drinking and driving in Heaven or an unconventional love song; Matthew sings about basically whatever he feels like singing about. His shows are funny, entertaining, unpredictable and a guaranteed good time.
6 pm Senjata Witt
Steady as a heartbeat, that’s how her guitar style’s been described: rhythmic, percussive, and punctual, with a voice like rose-petals steeped in bourbon. Folk, Blues, Traditional and original music, served up in her own special style!
7 pm Wald Schridde
As “The One-Man Renaissance Band”, Wald creates layered, multi-track recordings of medieval and renaissance music: sing and play folk songs, traditional tunes and early music on guitar, autoharp, mountain dulcimer, recorders, mandolin, and penny whistle.
2 pm Field Trip: Lexus Melodie @ Surfside!
8 pm Field Trip: The Vinnie Show @ Zamargad Grand Opening Party!
