12p Lluis Indigo

Lluis Garcia is a self taught musician who has been experimenting with music since he was 7 years old and performing since he was 14. Many know him as creator and builder in SL, but in 2017 he turned his creative focus to his real passion: music. Being from Barcelona, he loves to sing flamenco style called “rumba”, but also creates relaxing and deep sounds.

1p Mandala Bee

Mandala, a Rio de Janeiro Brazilian, loves to entertain her audience. She is a guitarist and singer and her vocal style is Bossa Nova: one of the best-known Brazilian music styles abroad, a lyrical fusion of samba and jazz. However, her musical style doesn’t stop there – it includes Blues, Rock, Pop and of course Romantic Songs. She is multi-lingual in her songs: Portuguese, Spanish, French and English. When you hear a tune or song you like, she loves you to sing together with her!

2p J Lively

As a singer / songwriter, J Lively not only has a distinct voice with a touch of rasp that captivates while singing covers and original music, but also plays ukulele, guitar, and piano live. EDM, hip hop, indie, pop, country, rock, and classics– she doesn’t do straight covers, but infuses them with her youthful energy & charisma. Her shows may be the only place you’ll hear Led Zeppelin or Lil Jon’s Get Low on the ukulele.

Wednesday February 24th Live at The Dirty Grind IAC!

Safe Wednesday everyone ♫  Come on over to The Dirty Grind IAC for a Hump day party that will take you on a journey through space and time thanks to these fantastic musicians 🙂

3p Reno Jones

Reno Jones’ singing and guitar playing defies all expectations. “A voice like golf balls in a dryer”, and “You call this music?” are just a few of the things critics have said about Reno Jones’ musical stylings. Mixing it all up in a blender, Reno Jones covers songs from the 1920’s to the 2020’s and even originals; Reno adds his unique spin to all genres. As a studio musician and recording engineer for many decades, Reno has worked with some of the biggest names in the music industry.

4p Wald Schridde

As “The One-Man Renaissance Band”, Wald creates layered, multi-track recordings of medieval and renaissance music: sing and play folk songs, traditional tunes and early music on guitar, autoharp, mountain dulcimer, recorders, mandolin, and penny whistle.

5p Gypsy Dhrua

Gypsy Dhrua (Dhruvà) is a talented musician: she plays multiple instruments (guitar, flute, percussion) and is a publisher of independently produced music CDs and videos. Her rich, husky voice will take you on a journey through heartfelt originals and soulful covers that will mesmerize and entertain you.

6p Senjata Witt

Steady as a heartbeat, that’s how her guitar style’s been described: rhythmic, percussive, and punctual, with a voice like rose petals steeped in bourbon. Folk, Blues, Traditional and original music, served up in her own special style!

7p Twostep Spiritweaver

From Blues to Bluegrass, Beatles to Bach, Grateful Dead to Van Morrison and all the music inbetween, Twostep Spiritweaver weaves his way through all of it. He may play 30 minutes of pure blues followed by 30 minutes of sweet ballads and love songs, or he might just start playing to see where the music takes him.

Second Life advertising hits new low

Jo Yardley's Second Life

I’ve written before about how I think that the bad reputation SL has is a problem and about how I think that LL should work on improving it.

As far as I am concerned it is a big deal that so many outsiders think that SL is either dead or that it is a cesspit of filthy perverts and shallow people who just want to look like barbie.

Don’t get me wrong, SL IS both those things, but it is so much more.

I think that LL and the SL users need to work on getting SL a better reputation.

Not only do we have to make people realise that SL offers so many different kinds of entertainment, art, social interaction, etc, but also that it has some pretty amazing graphics that really are not as bad as those 2007 screenshots you see with every article seem to suggest.
